An Ogre's Tale

RECITAL 2011

Mommy doesn't even know where to begin with recital! The first thing that comes to mind is what a busy week it is!! It begins on a Tuesday where you have studio rehearsal. Then you begin the dress rehearsal with Act I on Thursday and Act II on Friday. After all the rehearsing the recital begins on Saturday with another show on Sunday! Mommy is always tired but you girls always seem to have plenty of energy to dance your hearts out!!
This year was a "costume year" for your dance studio and the theme was Shreck!! When mommy first found out the theme I didn't know what to think but wow was I surprised!!! It was amazing! Every time one of you enters the stage it completely takes my breath away! I get so frustrated with myself because for half of the dance it's hard for me to focus because my eyes fill with tears! (This happens every time!) It's nice when it's over because we can all relax and fully kick off summer vacation but a part of me is always sad for it to end.

On our way to dress rehearsal

Ready for Recital

*Alexa Rae*
This year you received your diamond necklace from Ms. Lorna for completing 12 years of dance!
Your daddy wanted to be there so bad but with shift work he could not make recital this year to escort you on stage to receive your award. Daddy was able to make the dress rehearsal to see y'all dance!!
Saturday Uncle Sean escorted you on stage and Sunday Paw Paw escorted you. They were both honored to be there for you on this special day and your Mom couldn't have been more proud! These past 12 years have flown by and I know you may have 2 or 3 more years to dance on stage at recital and that will be it! You have been dancing in our lives ever sense you were born and I know that even though recitals for you are coming to an end you will dance in your Mamma's heart forever!!

*Addi Grace*
My beautiful Addi Grace, you absolutely love to be on stage! When recital was over last year you would ask for months when you would be able to dance on the big stage again. Mommy knew that when it would be time for recital this year you would dance your heart out! I was totally not prepared for the biggest smile I've ever seen you smile and the whole world shinning through your eyes! Addi, your mommy can honestly say that you took my breath away every time you stepped on the stage! It was so obvious that you were having so much fun and enjoying every minute of your dances! You are such a beautiful growing ballerina and with every twirl you turn you continue to light up my world!

*Ella Jo*

My precious Ella Jo, you are such a joy in our lives! I think you are the cutest and funniest 3 year old I've ever seen! Both of your dances were in the first Act so when you were finished but both of your sisters still had dances you were upset! On Saturday you fell asleep in your Aunt Kimberly's lap but on Sunday you enjoyed the rest of the recital! You kept whispering in my ear.."Mommy...I wanna dance again!" and it has been days since recital and you are still asking to dance on the big stage! You have grown so much the past year and I am so proud of how much you have learned in your ballet and gym class!! When you would come home from dance you would show us some of your latest "moves" you have learned and would be so proud to dance around!!! You are Mommy and Daddy's "Tiny Dancer" and complete our hearts with everything you bring to us!

Thank you our beautiful ballerinas for twirling in our hearts and thank you Ms. Lorna for loving our angels and giving us the best recitals we will always cherish. Thank you my Savior for the beautiful blessings you continue to give me and my family, we are forever grateful~
