Easter Celebrations

Ella Jo's Easter Party

Ella Jo, your Mommy loves it when we have a celebration at your school! You are always with me when we are busy with Alexa and when we have things to do at Addi's school so when it's your turn you glow from ear to ear and are so very proud of how big you are!
You had such a sweet Easter party filled with crafts, cup cake decorating, pictures, and of course candy galore!!

God is great, God is good, let us thank Him for our food

Oh Ella, your mommy's heart melts at the sight of you praying. That's what I love about your pre school and mommy wishes there was prayer in all public schools....

Mommy enjoyed our morning together my angel! Hoppy Hoppy Easter my Ella Jo!

Another celebration we have before Easter is the annual egg hunt at our church! Oh the fun we have....
Hunting eggs, moon walks, animals, cookies, pop corn, hunting eggs, and the list goes on!!
So awesome having such a good time with friends and family at our church!

Happy Easter my sweet girls!! The Easter bunny came one night early for Lex because she went to the beach with a few friends to celebrate a friends birthday. Lex came home Easter evening. She missed all our family traditions that day but I know my Lex was having a ball with her friends!
Addi and Ella, y'all were so excited with what the Easter bunny brought y'all...
Ella got the movie Hop and a Barbie. Addi got the movie We bought a zoo and a Barbie! Ella Jo, you still choose still sleep in Addi's bed with her so the Easter bunny brings your basket to her room...when you decide to sleep in your bed I'm sure he will then leave your basket with you there!
We got up and got ready after enjoying our baskets and went to church before going to Dee Dee's house for more Easter fun!!

Glory and power be to You the Only Wise King

The good thing about living in the South is that we can hunt Easter eggs in our bathing suits that Dee Dee got y'all for Easter!!

Mommy just had to add this picture to our blog! I love what you two are doing....secret?? planning an attack with water? I have no idea but my two angels who are sweet sisters are growing their friendship for a lifetime!

Thank you Dee Dee so much for our water sprinkler!! It looks like we are going to have a real hot summer and I'm sure we will play in the water often!!

The Russell girls are completely ready for spring and summer with their complete ensemble from Dee Dee and their Uncle Sean!!

What a beautiful end to a beautiful day! The weather was warm with a breeze and you girls had the best time hunting your eggs and playing in the water!! Your mommy loves Easter time so much!! Happy Spring and Happy Easter from the Russell Family~

May I have this dance....

Elegant Easter Party

Okay Addi Grace, I'm going to try to explain your Elegant Easter Party on our blog without crying the entire time mommy is typing! I get so emotional because these are little milestones you are going through that I remember your older sister doing and it feels just like last year but It's really been 10 years....(sniff sniff)
At your elementary school the Kindergarten classes celebrate Easter with an Elegant Easter Party! This is really like Kindergarten prom! The entire week you practice your elegant manners and practice dancing with your partner Ms. Holland has all ready chosen for you.
The day before the party Mommy met a couple of friends at your class and we turned your class room into a Kindergarten ball room! It was beautiful with vibrant colors and a dance floor!
At your party Ms. Holland said ....."Gentlemen"...they then got up and walked to their partner, held out their hand and asked..."May I have this dance please?" You then replied...."I'd be delighted...."
Addi Grace, you are so very shy but you put your arm through his as he led you to the dance floor and danced! (sniff sniff) He twirled you and giggled and smiled....while mommy was fighting back all the tears!! It was then time for the father/daughter dance. Oh my Addi Grace, you surprised mommy and daddy when you turned him down and hid behind mommy and refused to dance with your daddy! I think he was a little shocked but I know your daddy is just fine dancing in the living room with his angel and not in front of your whole class.....

May I have this dance please?....I'd be delighted....

My beautiful Addi Grace, I know your mommy is going to look back 12 years from now when you are a senior in high school and completely not understand where the years have gone....
Your mommy and daddy enjoyed watching you dance with a young man for the very first time and I look so forward to all the many dances in your life my sweet baby!! I love that your school has this every year and all 3 of my angels will have a "kindergarten prom"! I love you my precious girl and thank you for twirling in my heart each and everyday~

A Night At The Fair!

It has been a complete year since the fair has come to town and mommy doesn't think a whole week goes by where I wasn't asked the question..."Mommy...when is the fair coming??" Well Angels, here it is! Daddy was working the week of the fair so we had to wait later in the week to go which led to even more anticipation! We all were very excited and just had the best time! Daddy stayed with the little girls so mommy could go with lex to ride some of the bigger rides! We had the best time, and I laughed so hard with every ride till my tummy hurt!! Alexa Rae, mom loves spending the quite big girl time with you when I can, so when that opportunity arrives I try to capture it and hold on tight!
After laughing till sick we met up with daddy and the little girls to watch them enjoy fun rides!! We then ate some good fair food and closed the fair down. We got in the car after 10pm and mommy had to text Addi's teacher the next day to let her know we had a little too much family fair fun last night!!

So many awesome memories we have with all our girls and mommy loves everyone of them! I hope each one of you will always remember the fun memories at the fair we shared together! Nothing makes your mommy happier than spending time together! It doesn't matter if it's cuddled on the couch, vacations, crafts, or nights out...when we are all together having fun it doesn't get any better than that~

Spring Break Vacation 2012

Again this year we went to Galveston for our spring break mini vacation! Just like last year we had tons of fun and none of us were ready to go home. When we told y'all we were going back to the beach and staying in a hotel the countdown was on!! Mommy and Daddy waited to tell the little girls until the countdown was only 2 days away. We take several day trips to Galveston during the year so this time we wanted lots of relaxation! The first day there we lounged at the pool all day until dinner at the Rain Forest Cafe! Mommy and Daddy realized this year how grown our little girls are. We sat at our table watching y'all swim and play for hours and having a ball. Mommy enjoyed a good book by the pool and soaked in all the sun. Lex brought a friend again this year and I couldn't keep the big girls off the beach!

Rain Forest Cafe isn't complete without stuffing an animal from Build a Bear!

One of the main things mommy enjoys doing in Galveston is shopping on the strand! So many awesome little boutiques with treasures just waiting for me to take home....
Daddy stayed in the Candy Factory with my little girls watching the man making taffy and trying to catch a few pieces while mommy shopped with the big girls!
When mommy met Daddy and the little girls after shopping I had a surprise waiting on me!! Daddy with the help from Addison, went back to a shop I had visited with Addi and picked out a troll bracelet to surprise me with! Mommy was very surprised sweet angels!! Addi led him to the right boutique and to the counter with all the options for the bracelets!! I can't wait to add beads to my beautiful bracelet!
After shopping we took a carriage ride through down town and enjoyed all the beautiful scenery of Galveston! Addi loves looking at all the pretty buildings but I think she enjoys being pulled by a horse while riding in a carriage most! Lex stayed on the strand and wanted to finish her shopping before dinner. Mommy loves it when Lex brings a friend so she can have big girl time too.
We finished the perfect day having dinner at one of our favorite restaurants facing the bay.

Yummy ice cream at the candy factory while mommy shops

Our last day on our mini vacation we decided to ride the bike along the sea wall with a trip on the beach. Addi and Ella this is one of your favorite things to do in Galveston! We love the breeze beside the ocean and the sound of the waves as we travel down the sea wall talking about our favorite parts from our stay. We stopped and decided to walk on the sand and feel the ocean run through our toes....
Once mommy's bare feet hit the sand on the beach a totally different feeling comes over me and I try to soak it all in until we have to leave! After watching all my beautiful sand angels I think y'all are the same way.....

All good things must come to an end....every time mommy leaves the beach I get sad. It's good returning to routine but sad to miss the carefree feeling of no schedules or bed times. We will miss you Galveston but the Russell's will be back very soon~
